We require verbal confirmation for SMS opt-in. A representative from Inspectorly will first ask the customer the following before adding them to our SMS list:

"As part of our service, we can send you automated text alerts regarding your Inspectorly account activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile phone service plan. Opt out at any time by replying STOP. Mobile Terms of Service are available at https://www.inspectorly.com/terms and our Privacy Policy can be found at https://www.inspectorly.com/privacy-policy. Please reply with 'yes' or 'no' to indicate if you would like to receive this service."

We track the users response in our database with the field boolean field `is_okay_to_sms`, see the following screenshot:
